AlexTin, about people who visited USA I can say that in my personal point of view their English appears to be not so free or fluent. For example my classmate Evgeny. This summer he was in USA, but now on our English lessons he can’t even to retell the text we have already read. Of course it is really very nicely to meet a person who are good in English, but in my life it is rather rare phenomenon!

AlexTin, I agree with you. It depends on personal abilities. I think this girl from USA knew English well before going there.

I like to speak English outdoors, for example in buses, where I like to look at people"s faces when I talk something to somebody. May be they thought that we are really not russians.

NanaBi, I think much depends on where in USA they are. Maybe they speak only with russians without any opportunity to communicate with native residents. I know some people who went to work to the USA but all the people around them spoke Russian.
